Article 131
Vacancy of the office of Chief Justice or Judge of the Supreme Court
The office of the Chief Justice or Judge of the Supreme Court shall become vacant in any of the following cases:-
(a) If he tenders his resignation in writing to the President,
(b) If he attains the age of sixty-five years,
(c) If the resolution of impeachment is passed against him in accordance with Article 101,
(d) If the President dismisses him from office on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council in the case of the Chief Justice and the Judicial Council in the case of a judge of the Supreme Court on the grounds that he is unable to perform his duties while in service due to physical or mental illness,
(e) If he has been convicted by a court of law for a criminal offense involving moral turpitude,
(f) In case of his death.
